DISCUSSION WITH GROUP
REBEL REBEL
Hello, first of all thanks for having to agree to answer this interview, at the time, which various questions will be carried about your collaboration with 'O' (leader of group UNDERCOVER SLUT).
Can you tell us your meeting with group UCS?
And what pushed you created album "REBEL SLUT"?
TEDDY HEAVENS : I first met 'O' 10 years ago in Los Angeles
when he came to a Rebel Rebel show at the Whiskey
and we became good friends. When he would visit L.A.
every year we would hang out and shop for CD’s, hang
at the clubs and check out bands and eventually I
started booking UCS when they came to play in America.
During this time I had a raw demo of a song I was
working on and 'O' was visiting my house studio and he
did a vocal track as a favor (I’m no singer) on the
song “Do You Wanna Fuck” and since it was a combo
of both of us we decided to call the collaboration “Rebel Slut”.
The CD RebelSlut has one song (the rough demo) that we did
together and songs from each band. 'O' picked the UCS
songs and I designed the CD artwork, with the cover being a
backstage photo of both bands together at our Paris gig in 2005.
How was your working relationship?
TEDDY HEAVENS : 'O' is great to work with ! He provides the input into what music he wanted on the CD and he has final approval over all images of UCS, which is his creation and baby ! I also work on other business with UCS in the USA and 'O' is always a pleasure to work with and his work ethic is inspiring-look waht he’s done for UCS in Europe ! Likewise 'O' and UCS set us up real nice when we came to Paris to play, with na nice venue-La Scene Bastile, large beautiful audience, hot nasty chicks and a large pay day $$$$$$ !
Do you think one day again carried out an
album gathering the two groups?
TEDDY HEAVENS :Rebel Rebel and Undercover Slut will always tour together and hopefully in the future we will put out a release together on a label. The 2 bands og good together so it only makes sense another “RebelSlut” CD will be completed and released. The goal is to mix the members in the studio to record live-maybe in August when UCS comes to America for their annual tour.
Doesn't album "REBEL SLUT" contain any music mixing
the two groups, For what not to have tried to invent
new songs gathering REBEL REBEL & UCS?
TEDDY HEAVENS : “Do You Wanna Fuck?” is the only song that contains members of UCS/R2 (Teddy and 'O') but hopefully we can write some songs together in the future!! Rebel Rebel is celebrating our 20th anniversary in 2008 and maybe we’ll do another RebelSlut
CD and a tour to commemorate.
Please excuse me I were unaware of that this song
was a mixture of the two groups !
